Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever. - Unknown
I would like to wish everyone a very happy Mother’s Day. I know this day is one where my children and husband show their appreciation for me, but I am truly overcome with appreciation for them. They, in fact, are the ones who made me a mother, and who inspire and challenge me to be a better mom every day.
I hope that everyone enjoys their special day doing whatever brings joy to their hearts. I especially would like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to my own Mom, who has been an amazing role model to me. Her dedication, immense love for others, strong ethics, and her ability to smile through all situations are just some of the characteristics I have tried to emulate over the years. I also truly appreciate her becoming web-savvy in the last couple months, so I know that she is reading and appreciating this post.
I also would like to wish a happy Mother’s Day to those who are celebrating their first Mother’s Day – I remember being so overcome with emotion on that day 3 years ago.
Here is a special piece of artwork created by my little guy at school, which he gave to me yesterday at their mother’s day breakfast. He was so proud of his creation and excited that it had both of our favorite colors in it.

Happy Mother’s Day and enjoy every minute!
