You may be aware that this week is teacher appreciation week. There are few people who I appreciate more in my family’s life more than my children’s teachers. My kids are in daycare pretty long hours – I usually drop them off around 7/7:30 and pick them up anywhere between 4:30 and 5:30. They spend a lot of time with their teachers, and those teachers have been critical in helping to develop my kids into the cute little beings that they are today. My kids also LOVE these women. They will run into school and give them great big hugs and they constantly talk about them outside of school as well.
Their teachers have truly built the foundation for their school years – they have helped to ensure that they are excited about learning, they have taught them how to foster positive relationships with other students, and they have ensured that as parents, I know everything about my child’s learning experience, and have engaged me in that process.
I feel SO lucky to have been exposed to such strong teachers already in my kid’s education, and I can only hope that it continues over time. It is hard to express how grateful I am for all they do, and this week I really want to do something special. I typically go with a gift certificate on special occasions – coffee, ice cream, manicure, restaurant, or target are some of my favorites, because I know that they rarely treat themselves. I was hoping to spice things up a bit though, and add a bit of creativity. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite finds on other blogs, to hopefully inspire you as well!
Thank you so much to all of those teachers out there – especially my children’s teachers!

What a tribute to all the current teachers and retired teachers! Made me stop and think about teachers that made a difference in my life, and there were quite a few!
What great ideas! I love the coffee one!
I’m in love with that beach towel idea!
I love these ideas! I have 3 in elementary school this year, so I’m looking for different (but not hokey) gifts.
I found you through the SITS Spring Fling!
Wonderful ideas for gifts. My partner was a teacher for over 20 years, and his students still keep in touch with him (and they are now married with children). It’s a sure sign of what a great teacher he was. Thanks for letter your children know how appreciated they are. (Another Spring Fling SITStah)
I didn’t realize that was this week! I need to figure something out PRONTO!
Those are all some cute ideas!
Thank you for the teacher appreciation ideas. I got gerber daisies in pots and I made a cute little sign thanking them for helping Charlotte bloom.
yay! I am so glad that you liked it, and I hope Charlotte’s teachers did as well!
